
Ken Simila
Assistant Secretary / Class of 1958
Ken Simila (class of 1958) was a music & Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) enthusiast at North. After graduation he completed a Mechanical Engineering BS degree at OSU (+4 years in OSU Marching Band) and a then a MSIA from Purdue. He worked in aerospace engineering at Boeing, in nuclear power testing for the US Navy and then on testing of Commercial Measuring Devices (scales, pumps, meters, electronics, etc.) for the State of Oregon. His brother and sisters and two sons (classes of 92 and 94) also graduate from North. In addition to serving on the board Ken enjoys riding his “E” bike around Salem, playing a round of golf a week and helping out at a local food bank.
