Richard Hornaday
Class of 1953
Richard “Dick” L Hornaday graduated from North’s predecessor Salem High School in 1953 and went on to serve in the US Marine Corps for three years, discharged as a sergeant. Thanks to the GI bill he went on to graduate from University of Oregon in 1961 and got his Masters degree in 1968. He taught 9th grade world geography and was an assistant principal of a junior high and a middle school in Oregon. His hobbies include golfing, playing pickle ball and hand ball and fishing. He’s also a big duck fan! Go Ducks!
